Senior Mentoring Coordinator

Russell spent the first 16 years of his life in the Pioneer Valley, and moved to Great Barrington in 2014 to attend Bard College at Simon’s Rock. He completed a Bachelors in Psychology and Political Studies, with an emphasis on Family Systems Psychology. While in school, Russell worked with RSYP as a Peer Health Mentor, in addition to serving as a Peer Advocate in one of the dorms. After graduating from Simon’s Rock, Russell moved to the Berkshires full time to work in a group home with adolescents, developing a passion for helping young people. At the Youth Project he serves as the mentoring coordinator, facilitating one-on-one matches between mentors and young people in the community. When not working, Russell enjoys rock climbing, cooking, woodworking, or sitting down with a cup of tea and a good book.
