Immigrant Youth & YOB Outreach Advocate

Born and raised in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, Brasil, Lívia brings a passion for community, music, and advocacy to our team. With a heart deeply entrenched in supporting immigrant youth, she serves as a beacon of empowerment, extending a helping hand to those navigating the complexities of immigration. Partnering with Gabby on the Youth Operational Board, she ensures that young voices are heard and valued in every decision. Rooted in a love for music, Lívia finds solace and joy in the melodies of Brazilian samba & jazz, reggae rhythms, and the timeless tunes of Madonna. Since first setting foot in the Berkshires in 2016, Lívia has been captivated by its charm and nature, a place where she feels most at peace. Whether birdwatching amidst the foliage or simply reveling in the company of animals, she finds comfort and inspiration in the great outdoors. Family holds an irreplaceable space in Lívia's heart, with her parents and brother serving as cherished idols, guiding her along life's journey. A Gemini by birth, Liv embodies the duality of her sign, embracing both the cerebral and the spirited aspects of life. Beyond her advocacy work, Lívia finds joy in dancing, being in/by the water and celebrating with friends. With a background in accounting and years spent dedicated to supporting adults with disabilities, she brings with her a wealth of experience and empathy.
