Bryana Lopez

Railroad Street Youth Student Empowerment (RYSE) Program Intern

Bryana is currently a sophomore at UMass Boston majoring in Engineering Physics and minoring in Biology. She is from Oaxaca, Mexico and has lived in the US since she was eight. She is excited to return as the RYSE intern again this year! In her free time, she loves listening to music (argentine rock, alt rock, R&B and trip hop are her favorite genres currently), and making playlists like it’s her full time job. She also likes going to the gym and the occasional run. Bryana strives to make a positive impact in her community by being actively involved in research investigating the barriers immigrants face in higher education and accessing careers in the Berkshires. As a former RYSE participant, translator, and 2025 intern she is excited to be back once again!
